And has developed angular contact ball bearings for both front and rear wheels, ensuring optimum performance in the most demanding situations. Generation 1 bearings are original equipment on many late model vehicles including the CZPT Focus and Explorer, the BMW 3-Series and the Cayenne.

This compact, lightweight, maintenance-free unit combines the costeffectiveness of a Generation 1 bearing with the convenience of an integral mounting fl ange. The Generation 2 design features a factoryset preload and an innovative retaining ring that secures the bearing in the carrier and eliminates the need for a clamping unit. The orbital-formed shoulder precisely secures the roller paths in place to maximize bearing life. Generation 2 hubs are original-equipment on the Volkswagen Jetta and Passat and the BMW M5 and M6.
