6)The ceramic balls used in some Freerun dental bearings are more rigid, lighter, and wear-resistant than other bearing manufacturers’ stainless steel versions. Ceramic balls generate less centrifugal force at the high speeds dental handpieces operate, reducing wear on the bearing and producing wear particles, increasing lubricant life.

How to Use Ceramic Ball Bearing Correctly:

1). It is best that the interference fit between the bearing bore and turbine shaft is under    0.5um-1.5um. When putting the turbine shaft into the bearing bore, the pressure should be forced on the face of the inner ring to avoid damage to the rollway and balls.

2). After fitting the bearing into the turbine shaft, it should be instilled with special lubricant (ethanol must not be used).

3). After high steam sterilization, the high-speed dental handpiece should be jetted some lubricant into the air inlet before use so that the bearing can be used for a long time.

4). To keep operating stability, the preload spring stress of the bearing should be controlled under 1.2 +/- 0.2N.
